About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum level of independence in occupational performance areas.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing direct patient care. You will also be expected to document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers, as well as assist with program development and serve as a resource to staff OTs.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop treatment plans to maximize their level of independence in occupational performance areas
  • Provide direct patient care, including implementing treatment plans and documenting progress
  • Assist with program development and serve as a resource to staff OTs
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and caregivers to ensure seamless care
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university-based Occupational Therapy program
  • Current License to practice Occupational Therapy by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
  • Current Certification in Basic Life Support
  • Prior experience in infant feeding and transition to solids is strongly preferred
