Graduate Hall Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Graduate Hall Director to join our team at Angelo State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting community development, implementing the Residential Curriculum, and providing support to students in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement community development initiatives to foster student ownership and care of residential facilities
- Assist with the implementation of the Residential Curriculum, including guidance of staff and completion of proposals, evaluations, and funding
- Conduct intentional and developmental conversations with residence hall students on academics, mental health, student success, and student behavior
- Serve as an internal stakeholder for departmental initiatives, including leadership and residential education, student support, intervention, and prevention, and staff operations
- Oversee work order process, including follow-up to ensure appropriate completion and customer satisfaction, and work cooperatively with custodial and facilities management staff to monitor and maintain the physical appearance and functioning of assigned facilities
- Utilize departmental databases and online systems for the management of Student Housing and Residence Life operations
- Supervise and advise Resident Assistants and/or Student Assistant staff, and provide programming oversight and event management for hall council events
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of professional and paraprofessional staff, and utilize systems of accountability for staff processes, procedures, and departmental expectations
- Bachelor's degree required; enrollment in a graduate program required
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities related to leadership, facilitation, and presentation skills, customer service, and building inclusive environments for all students and staff
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality, and respond effectively and appropriately in emergency and crisis situations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in an effective and efficient manner
- Experience working in Residence Life as a student staff member or student leader
- Enrollment in the Student Development and Leadership in Higher Education program
