Automotive Parts Specialist – Dealership Environment

Dwayne Lane's Skagit Ford is seeking a skilled Automotive Parts Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role requires a dependable and professional individual to manage the procurement, sales, storage, and distribution of automotive parts within our bustling dealership. In addition to being proficient in parts ordering and inventory management, exceptional interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with both customers and internal personnel. The ideal candidate can anticipate competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive dealership culture.

Compensation: $25+ per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess customer needs and accurately identify required parts
  • Generate and adjust purchase orders as necessary
  • Coordinate purchase orders with relevant vendors for parts acquisition
  • Document warranty parts returns
  • Input special order parts into the dealership's computer system and inform the appropriate personnel upon arrival
  • Monitor the tracking of special order parts
  • Process and finalize outstanding invoices
  • Verify the quality and quantity of received merchandise against invoices
  • Maintain records of external purchases and parts transactions
  • Conduct regular inventory checks in the parts warehouse
  • Participate in weekly departmental meetings

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required; candidates should have at least one year of experience in dealership counter sales or equivalent training. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
