Job Description:Becoming the Expert

In this outside sales role, you will gain in-depth knowledge of Victaulic's products and solutions that cater to customers' needs, ensuring timely and budget-friendly project completion. Our comprehensive training program equips you with everything needed to excel in your position.

You'll appreciate our excellent training program, which not only covers our products but also competitive methods like welding and flanging. This expertise empowers you to confidently address objections from customers accustomed to traditional joining techniques.

Understanding the Industry

As a territory manager, you'll need to stay informed about construction cycles, identify major projects, and keep up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity. You'll integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations while striving to become an integral part of the industry within your territory.

Business Acumen

You'll collaborate with your Regional Sales Manager to develop a business plan, including opportunity mapping, sales goals, product promotion strategies, and tactics to maximize your sales potential. You'll be responsible for executing all phases of project pursuit and project management to secure purchase orders from project inception through design, specifications, drawings, bidding, job site training, and support, final commissioning, and post-project follow-up.

Nurturing Relationships

Developing lasting relationships and trust is crucial to your success in this role. You'll work to establish meaningful connections with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners in your territory by spending quality time with them.

Educating and Influencing

Your primary objective is to educate customers on the value of Victaulic's products, highlighting their confidence-boosting qualities and overall value contribution to their projects. As a sales specialist, you'll seek to understand customers' needs and educate them on the benefits of utilizing Victaulic's solutions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree upon hiring
  • Previous sales experience in 'value-added' products/services, preferably related to commercial construction, PVF (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products
  • Demonstrated achievements in sales, showcasing a history of developing and nurturing long-term relationships
  • A competitive nature, flexibility, and resiliency
  • Self-motivation and self-driven to achieve success
  • Confidence, a professional image, and an engaging, affable personality
  • Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and creative thinking abilities
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, as well as solid project management capabilities
Estimated Annual Salary: $65,000 - $85,000
