Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Services Supervisor to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and direction of our nutrition services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nutrition Services Director in planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the department.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction over menu formulation, recipe adherence, and preparation and serving of appropriate meals for all hospital patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Interview, hire, orient, and provide training of personnel.
  • Provide documented progressive discipline as deemed necessary.
  • Plan and implement employee engagement activities with staff input.
  • Monitor, revise, and delegate job tasks appropriately.
  • Train cashiers and maintain money safe following standard safe practices.
  • Monitor adherence to budgetary goals for the kitchen and make recommendations and assist the director in the budgetary planning process.
  • Schedule employees to meet productivity goals and train staff on minimizing food and supply waste.
  • Participate in process improvement to decrease waste and increase quality.
  • Review and establish staffing patterns and schedules and time edits to meet budget.
  • Maintain electronic documents and records to support production, menu adherence, and sales.
Requirements
  • 2-year degree in culinary or registered diet technician or other related field, or qualifying experience.
  • Two years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in nutrition and therapeutic diet food preparation and familiarity with health care regulatory requirements.
  • Coconino County Food Managers card required within 30 days of hire.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Certified Chef preferred.
