Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Prince Contracting. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Review: Review contract and specifications in their entirety to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Project Support: Assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent as requested, providing administrative support and coordination.
  • Schedule Preparation: Assist with all schedule preparations and updates, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Quantity Reporting: Assist with quantity reporting, project costs, and forecasting, providing accurate data for project management.
  • Pricing and Procurement: Obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders, to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Equipment and Material Management: Requisition equipment and material deliveries as required, ensuring timely receipt and installation.
  • Conflict Resolution: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve project challenges and conflicts.
  • Billing and Cash Flow: Assist with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing, ensuring accurate financial management.
  • Document Control: Manage document control, including submittal schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, and other relevant documents.
  • Heavy Jobdaily Reports: Review Heavy Jobdaily reports for accuracy, ensuring data integrity.
  • Technical Submittals: Prepare and maintain technical submittal lists, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, and Project Progress Schedules as required.
  • Notice Requirements: Comply with notice requirements, including inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locations and adjustments, testing, claims, and other relevant activities.
  • Correspondence: Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plans and/or specifications affect products or services.
  • Project Closeout: Assist with project closeout, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed.
  • Additional Assignments: Perform additional assignments as directed by the Project Manager.
Requirements
  • Education: S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM).
  • Experience: 8 years' experience in the civil construction field (office/field role).
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with Excel, Word, and Primavera 6.
