Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding assistance to students, families, and the RIT community on a broad spectrum of financial service inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively with students and families about tuition, housing, fees, and financial aid, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Engage in detailed tasks including third-party billing, collections, student account management, and cashiering functions.
  • Conduct outreach initiatives to assist students and families in managing account balances, offering tailored payment solutions and exercising professional judgment in resolving overdue accounts.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of university policies and relevant federal and state regulations governing financial aid programs.
  • Utilize the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system and other administrative platforms to ensure accurate processing of student account adjustments and billing.
  • Participate in the testing of new functionalities within financial systems and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on federal loan programs, advising students on repayment options and strategies to avoid default.
  • Handle incoming inquiries, process transactions, and provide in-person assistance to customers.
  • Engage in additional projects and tasks as assigned by management.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, completing a minimum of 40 hours of training annually relevant to the role.
