Job Summary

The Clinical Support Specialist provides administrative support to patients, families, and professional staff to ensure efficient customer-oriented service delivery. This role actively supports and incorporates WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model by delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Key Concepts of PFCC

  • Dignity and Respect: Listen to and honor patient and family perspectives and choices.
  • Information Sharing: Communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful.
  • Participation: Patients and families are encouraged and supported in participating in care and decision-making at the level they choose.
  • Collaboration: Patients, families, and the Clinical Support Specialist collaborate in the delivery of care.

Requirements

  • 1 year of clinical experience in an Emergency Department (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
  • College courses in Nurse Aide (required)
  • Nurse Aide I licensure (required)

Work Schedule

7am-7pm, 36 hours/week

Weekend Requirements

Every other weekend
