Position Overview:
As a Banquet Server, you will assist the Banquet Manager in delivering exceptional service during events, ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the banquet area as directed by the Supervisor, including setting up linens, serviceware, and glassware.
  • Participate in pre-event meetings to understand the details of the function, including guest expectations.
  • Welcome guests warmly and address their requests in a courteous manner.
  • Serve food and beverages according to the Supervisor's instructions, maintaining consistency throughout the event. Efficiently clear dishes as guests finish each course.
  • Adhere to all regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Monitor beverage levels and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • After the event, reset the banquet area according to the Supervisor's guidelines for the next function.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be available for scheduled shifts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with guests.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist colleagues.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
  • Ability to follow written instructions for safe product usage.
  • Capability to remember and promote various menu items.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and navigate through crowded spaces during shifts.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
