Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Tech to join our team. As a Floor Tech, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of hard surfaces and carpets in our facilities. This includes dusting and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting. You will also be responsible for collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linen, and ensuring that all areas are safe and clean.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hard surfaces and carpets in our facilities
  • Dust and wet mop floors, strip and wax, buff, shampoo, extract, and bonnet as needed
  • Collect trash, recycling, and soiled linen and ensure proper disposal
  • Report equipment and cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
  • Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Provide positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products
  • Must live in the service area
