Job Title: Cashier

FLSA Status: Hourly

Reports To: Guest Service Department Manager

We are looking for Cashiers who thrive in a friendly, guest-centric atmosphere. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that every customer has a pleasant shopping experience, encouraging them to return.

Key Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:
  • Engage with Customers: Foster welcoming interactions through friendly conversation and attentive service.
  • Process Transactions: Efficiently scan items, handle payments, and ensure accuracy in monetary exchanges.
  • Bagging Items: Carefully package purchased items to maintain their quality during transport.
  • Stay Updated: Keep informed about current promotions and store offerings to assist customers effectively.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure your checkout area is organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Communicate Effectively: Relay customer feedback and requests to the management team to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Adhere to Standards: Meet quality and service standards, especially during peak shopping hours.
  • Collaborate: Support team efforts by performing additional tasks as needed.
  • Attendance: Maintain regular attendance and provide notice for any absences.

Qualifications:

To succeed as a Cashier at Festival Foods, you should possess:

  • Customer Service Skills: A passion for providing outstanding service to guests.
  • Retail Experience: Familiarity with processing transactions and handling cash.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong skills in reading, counting, and writing accurately.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Capability to operate necessary equipment for the role.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and perform tasks that involve bending and lifting. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Schedule:
