We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Racing and Sports Book Clerk to join our team at Westgate Resorts. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our racing and sports book.
Key Responsibilities- Process wagers and handle cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, resolving issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operate computerized betting terminals, calculators, and multi-line telephones to complete racing and sports book transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards and regulations.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, remaining alert and focused throughout the duration of the shift.
- Ability to apply basic mathematics to total multiple wagers and balance cash.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language to comprehend company regulations and communicate with other employees.
- Ability to operate computerized systems and equipment, including betting terminals and calculators.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
The Racing and Sports Book Clerk will work in a casino environment, which can be hot, wet, noisy, and dark at times. The position may be exposed to second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant interaction with the general public.
