Position Overview

The Online Retail Engineering division at Apple is in search of a dedicated and meticulous Content Specialist to manage data within our content management systems and catalog tools. This position plays a vital role in the team's success by establishing content and directing data infrastructure for innovative features and projects that the Apple Online Retail Engineering division launches into the market. Your contributions will reach millions of customers globally.

Role Responsibilities

The Content Development team focuses on enhancing the customer experience for all of Apple's online shoppers. In this capacity, you will collaborate with a team of passionate professionals who design, develop, validate, and deploy exceptional e-commerce functionalities. Your primary responsibility will be to organize and oversee various types of data essential for these new features. Daily tasks will include configuring content, products, and media assets in the publishing tools to support engineering initiatives and testing phases. You will be responsible for tracking, packaging, and delivering all project data to production in alignment with detailed release schedules. Proactively, you will work to maintain a bug-free environment, coordinating with both offshore and onshore teams to ensure efficient task completion, while also producing comprehensive documentation of feature configurations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Robust technical expertise and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • A strong commitment to providing an outstanding user experience for both business users and customers.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN or Git.

Key Qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Strong decision-making and prioritization capabilities; adept at navigating complex production timelines with dependencies and competing priorities.
  • Ability to build rapport, credibility, and influence within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Comfortable maintaining organizational values and best practices while balancing time-to-market pressures and business relationships.
  • A passion for effective communication, both written and verbal, with diverse teams.
  • Skilled in anticipating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by ambiguity and tight deadlines.
  • High level of ownership and accountability.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with CMS tools such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, or AEM.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Catalog Management tools such as FileMaker, SAP CRM, or Salsify.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and executing global e-commerce shopping experiences.

Education & Experience

Relevant educational background and experience in a related field are preferred.
