Position Overview
The Online Retail Engineering division at Apple is in search of a dedicated and meticulous Content Specialist to manage data within our content management systems and catalog tools. This role is pivotal in enhancing the team's success by establishing content and directing data frameworks for innovative features and projects that the Apple Online Retail Engineering division introduces to the market. Your contributions will reach millions of customers globally.
Role Responsibilities
The Content Development team is focused on refining and advancing the customer experience for all of Apple's online shoppers. In this capacity, you will collaborate with a team of committed professionals who design, develop, validate, and launch exceptional e-commerce functionalities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and overseeing various types of data essential for new features.
- Managing content, products, and media assets in publishing tools to support engineering initiatives and testing.
- Tracking, packaging, and deploying project data to production in line with complex release schedules.
- Proactively ensuring a bug-free environment while coordinating with both offshore and onshore teams for efficient task completion.
- Producing comprehensive documentation of feature setups.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong technical foundation with an ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Commitment to delivering an outstanding user experience for both business users and customers.
- Experience with version control systems such as SVN or Git.
Key Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Proven experience in managing large, cross-functional projects.
- Strong decision-making and prioritization abilities, with experience in navigating complex production timelines.
- Ability to build rapport and credibility across a large, matrixed organization.
- Comfortable maintaining organizational values and best practices while managing competing priorities.
- Passion for effective communication with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Adept at anticipating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues promptly.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment characterized by ambiguity and tight deadlines.
- High level of ownership and accountability.
- 2+ years of experience with CMS tools such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, or AEM.
- 2+ years of experience with Catalog Management tools like FileMaker, SAP CRM, or Salsify.
- 2+ years of experience in developing and executing global e-commerce shopping experiences.

Compensation & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth as you advance in your role. The base pay range for this position is between $143,100 and $214,500, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs, which may include restricted stock unit awards and discounts on Apple stock through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for educational expenses related to career advancement.
