Overview

The Online Retail Engineering division at Apple is in search of a meticulous and dedicated Content Specialist to manage data within our content management system (CMS) and catalog management platforms. This position plays a crucial role in the team's success by establishing content and directing data infrastructure for innovative features and projects that the Apple Online Retail Engineering team implements into production. Your contributions will be visible to millions of customers globally.

Role Responsibilities

The Content Development team focuses on enhancing the customer experience for all of Apple's e-commerce clientele. In this capacity, you will collaborate with a team of committed professionals who design, engineer, validate, and launch exceptional e-commerce functionalities. Your primary responsibilities will include organizing and overseeing various types of data essential for these new features. Daily tasks will involve configuring content, products, and media assets in the publishing tools to support engineering initiatives and testing. You will monitor, package, and deploy all project data to production in alignment with detailed release plans. Your proactive approach will help maintain a bug-free environment, coordinate with both offshore and onshore teams to ensure efficient task completion, and create comprehensive documentation of feature setups.
  • Strong technical expertise, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers
  • Commitment to delivering an outstanding user experience for both business users and customers
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN or Git
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently
  • Proven experience managing large, cross-functional projects
  • Strong decision-making and prioritization abilities; experience managing complex production schedules with dependencies and competing priorities
  • Ability to build rapport, credibility, and influence across a large, matrixed organization

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with CMS tools such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, or AEM
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Catalog Management tools such as FileMaker, SAP CRM, or Salsify
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and executing global e-commerce shopping experiences
Compensation & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one component of our overall compensation package and is determined within a specified range. This allows for growth as you develop within your role. The base pay range for this position is between $143,100 and $214,500, with your actual base pay depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additionally, employees receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a variety of discounted products and services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to career advancement at Apple.
