Job Title: Program Coordinator

Join the University of Minnesota as a Program Coordinator in the Women's Center, a dynamic and inclusive team dedicated to advancing gender equity and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.

About the Role:

The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Director and other team members to develop and implement programs and services that support the diverse needs of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. This role will involve coordinating events, managing logistics, and providing vital information and referrals to the University community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate Women's Center programming, including community-based initiatives, workshops, and panel series.
  • Facilitate and assist with overall planning, logistics, and presentation of Women's Center services and initiatives.
  • Assist in the management of Women's Center awards, grants, and scholarship processes.
  • Facilitate educational training focused on intersectional gender equity topics and concerns.
  • Assist in implementing the Women's Center program assessment and evaluation strategy.
  • Assume primary responsibility for administrative and clerical functions for the office, including management of Women's Center space and equipment.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate 1-2 undergraduate student employees.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree or combination of related education and work experience to equal four years.
  • Demonstrated experience in advocating and working towards gender equity.
  • Demonstrated experience in, and ongoing commitment to, working effectively with and across diverse communities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
