Abiomed, a leading provider of medical devices, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Technician II to join our team in Danvers, MA. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing fixtures and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and alignment checks on equipment such as laser welders, UV lights, and custom-designed machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Order and validate manufacturing aids, such as tooling and fixtures, to meet daily production schedules.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to identify new or updated tooling, machines, and fixtures to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Support the operations supervisor to ensure equipment uptime and provide daily updates on work status or problems.
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of related work experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or installation preferred.
- Regulated industry experience a plus.
- Ability to maintain organized electronic records of equipment.
- Possess manual dexterity and visual acuity to work with small assemblies and sub-assemblies.
