Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care, including vital sign measurement, personal care, and hygiene, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional.
- Act as a liaison between patients and nurses to report changes and concerns.
- Provide high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and employees.
- Document patient care accurately and timely.
- Participate in hand-off/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs.
- Perform delegated tasks once competency has been validated.
- BLS Basic Life Support certification (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care).
- Must have completed one of the following: successful completion of nursing aide training program, successful passing of STNA State Tested Nurse Aide, CNA Certified Nurse Aide, Nurses Aide state testing, or completed a nursing program with one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation, or 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
- Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility (preferred).
