Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Tech at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Registered Nurses in providing patient care, including basic nursing activities and sterile techniques.
- Conduct data collection, monitor, and document patient status, ensuring confidentiality of all patient information.
- Utilize safe patient handling techniques at all times.
- Inform RN of activities performed, observations of patients, and changes in patient status.
- Provide a neat and clean patient environment.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including turning and repositioning patients.
- Transport patients and assist with walking, as needed.
- Assist with fall prevention interventions and patient restraints, as delegated.
- Perform phlebotomy, as determined by unit-specific needs.
- Collect and document vital signs, fluid intake and output, and basic and sterile specimen collection.
- Completion of a Patient Care Technician program (post-high school).
- No previous experience required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) certification.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment.
- Data entry and mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques.
