Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Technician at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. Your primary responsibility will be to assist Registered Nurses in delivering individualized patient care, ensuring the highest level of comfort and well-being for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and document patient status, including vital signs, fluid intake and output, and basic and sterile specimen collection.
- Perform data collection, including vital signs, fluid intake and output, and basic and sterile specimen collection.
- Run errands, answer telephones, and respond to call lights as needed.
- Perform point of care testing as trained and delegated by RN, and report lab values to RN.
- Provide and document comfort and non-pharmacological pain management measures.
- Completion of Patient Care Technician program (post high school)
- No previous experience required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of office equipment
- Data entry and mathematical skills
- Knowledge of sterile techniques
