Position Objective:

Civista Bank is in search of a motivated and seasoned Retail Banking Branch Leader. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in banking operations, leadership, and business growth. This role involves overseeing and directing all facets of the Retail branch while achieving and surpassing sales objectives and financial benchmarks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily leadership in team and individual development through mentoring, training, and performance assessments to ensure an outstanding customer experience and meet branch objectives.
  • Actively cultivate and sustain a portfolio of small business clients through on-site visits, networking, and community involvement.
  • Enhance existing relationships with business proprietors and their associates. Open new accounts, secure deposits, and strategically cross-sell to establish comprehensive client relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to address the specific needs of clients. Provide referrals to treasury management, merchant services, private banking, wealth management, and other banking partners.
  • Develop and maintain consumer relationships. Work with partners to expand branch and market presence while promoting the Civista brand.
  • Create and implement an annual strategic plan through analysis and critical thinking, adapting to market conditions and trends to meet monthly sales and operational targets.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring of the Retail branch team alongside the Assistant Branch Manager and the Regional Manager.
  • Stay informed about Bank products, services, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that support the primary responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, business development, and team leadership.
  • 4 years of experience in a retail or branch banking environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to small business banking.
  • Ability to maintain strong partnerships with community and civic organizations.

Physical Demands:

  • Position involves eye strain due to prolonged use of computer screens and reading reports.
  • Requires the ability to concentrate on tasks under potentially distracting conditions.
  • Involves lifting and moving files weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to read, hear, write, and communicate professionally both in person and via telephone.
  • Some travel may be necessary for meetings and training.
