At Serco, we are seeking a highly skilled Weapons Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex assignments involving the planning and execution of projects on-board U.S. Naval Ships and military installations.
Key Responsibilities:- Select and adapt plans, techniques, designs, or layouts to meet project requirements.
- Contact personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate work.
- Review, analyze, and integrate the technical work of others to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Design, develop, and construct major units, devices, or equipment to meet project specifications.
- Conduct tests or experiments to evaluate equipment performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze technical data to determine applicability to design problems and select from several possible design layouts.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.
- OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain.
- Familiarity with NAVSEA, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.
- Experience and knowledge of Close In Weapon Systems (CIWS) Deutsch specific Fiber Optic Pins and connectors to include testing.
- Familiarity with the termination and operation of the Close In Weapon System (CIWS) firing cutout circuits and Mount train warning bell.
- Knowledge and experience with structural installation efforts to include welding and fitting.
- Experience and knowledge with Close in Weapon System (CIWS) Equipment Layout to include the Remote Control and Local Control Stations.
- A DoD Secret Clearance.
- OSHA Certification.
- A NAVSEA connector certification and NAVSEA Fiber termination certification.
