We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Correctional Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Quality Correctional Care (QCC). In this Nights LPN or RN position, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of justice-involved patients.

Job Summary

This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to strict medical protocols. As a Correctional Healthcare Specialist, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare services to patients.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by medical providers
  • Perform medical intakes and assessments to determine patient fitness for incarceration
  • Respond to sick call requests and follow up with medical providers as needed
  • Check and/or change medical dressings as required by medical providers
  • Manage chronic care and provide patient education on health concerns
  • Respond to medical emergencies and take charge in emergency situations
Requirements
  • Valid LPN or RN licensure
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Able to stand for extended periods and frequently push, pull, reach, and bend
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
