Job Title: Asset Management Director

Trimont LLC is seeking an experienced Asset Management Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of constructive counseling, consulting, advisory, and asset management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the performance of assigned assets relative to original underwriting strategies, business plans, and market conditions.
  • Identify and monitor changes in the portfolio over time, assessing impacts from macroeconomic risks and rating agency evaluations.
  • Maintain a broad overview knowledge of major markets (trends, drivers, rents, values, etc.) to support sound assessment of property operations and financial modeling.
  • Oversee and lead a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for team members, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback and recognizing achievements.
  • Interact with third-party consultants, including title agents, brokers, and property managers.
  • Coordinate communications between borrowers, partners, syndicate/participant lenders, and property managers.
  • Review and evaluate monthly/quarterly operating performance (Rent Rolls, Operating Statements, Collections).
  • Perform regular testing for loan covenant compliance (Debt-Yield, Loan-to-Value, Debt Service Coverage Ratio, Guarantor Liquidity, and Net Worth).
  • Review debt/equity funding request submissions from borrowers/equity partners/property managers.
  • Review and analyze annual operating budgets, proposed tenant leases, maturity extensions, etc.
  • Coordinate asset servicing and reporting responsibilities with internal departments to ensure accurate tracking/reporting.
  • Mentor financial analysts to encourage professional growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of underwriting and/or asset management experience.
  • 7+ years of experience working with complex real estate legal documents.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a diverse team by setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and conducting regular performance reviews to foster collaboration, productivity, and professional growth.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in commercial real estate debt operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrable experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Understanding of commercial real estate transactions, industry terms, and capital markets.
  • Understanding of CLO securitized transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Motivated to excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, working with competing deadlines.
  • Robust attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel a plus.
