Job Description

As a Business Development Sales Director at BDP International, you will be responsible for prospecting assigned territory, clients, and leads. You will assist in regionalizing sales efforts by increasing local client visits and develop sales plans and business strategies to build new strategic relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prospect assigned territory, clients, and leads
  2. Assist in regionalizing sales efforts by increasing local client visits
  3. Develop sales plans and business strategies to build new strategic relationships
  4. Identify and develop new targets to develop regional and global business volume in Ocean, Air, and Overland Freight, as well as Value Add solutions
  5. Follow-up and maintain the current customers with the goal of increasing revenue and freight volume
  6. Engage with Account Management, Product Leaders, and Vertical Heads to develop target accounts within assigned region
  7. Meet and exceed designated KPIs regarding client visits via maintenance via the Customer Retention Management system
  8. Engage in market research with sales support teams with the goal of increasing individual sales pipeline

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years experience in global sales preferred
  2. Minimum 3 years industry experience preferred
  3. Knowledge about Ocean Freight, Air Freight or Overland Freight in a Freight Forwarding/Logistics company
  4. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  5. Willing to travel up to 50%
