Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiology Assistant to join our team at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients undergoing surgical, therapeutic, or diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer regional, spinal, and general anesthetics to patients as ordered by anesthesiologists or other licensed medical professionals.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or complications during procedures.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in pre-anesthesia evaluations to assess patients' medical history and develop personalized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Completion of an anesthesiology assistant program or equivalent training and certification.
  • Current certification as an anesthesiology assistant or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed; physical stamina to work long hours on your feet.
