Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HRBP/Payroll Manager to join our team at Escalon Services, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic company that delivers Essential Business Services to organizations across various industries.

The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partnership with our clients, handling both tactical and strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR subject matter expertise to our HR Operations client base.
  • Assist clients with all their HR needs while they focus on growing their business.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the client's overall business strategy.
  • Ensure clients have a strong HR infrastructure and ensure compliance.
  • Lead and/or partner with our People Support team to implement and administer all major PeopleOps related software systems.
  • Research, recommend, implement, and perform benefits administration and management.
  • Recommend new hire orientation and termination processes and partner with the PeopleOps HR Support team to ensure completion.
  • Partner with Payroll team and oversee the implementation and/or process payroll processing for multiple clients in a timely manner.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients regarding payroll-related inquiries, concerns, and requests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing, client relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, compliance, and best practices.
  • Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office suite, Jira, ADP, Gusto, Paychex, and Quickbooks.
  • Must have 3+ years of human resources/people operations experience within a client-facing, consulting capacity.
  • Must have 3+ years with payroll/tax set up experience.
  • Brings 5+ years preferably as an HR business partner or HR manager.
  • Must have knowledge of startup HR best practices, while thriving in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong business acumen and a passion for HR; people-oriented and results-driven.
  • Must have exceptional knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Ability to exercise autonomy, independent judgment, and decision-making; providing sound recommendations to clients to resolve issues and mitigate risk while providing excellent client delivery.
  • Ability to hit the ground running with minimal training and oversight.
  • Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and possess an eye for detail.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high level of professionalism, and integrity.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated initiative with a sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of HRIS, Payroll, and Recruiting systems (Gusto, Zenefits, Namely, Rippling, ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, Intuit, TriNet, Justworks, Sequoia, Greenhouse, Lever, etc.).
