Industrial Equipment Technician

As a vital member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of various industrial machinery and systems. This includes, but is not limited to, large-scale washers and dryers, pneumatic and steam systems, conveyor systems, and boilers. You will perform maintenance tasks in accordance with all safety protocols and approved operational procedures.

1. Equipment and Facility Maintenance

  • Utilizes a variety of tools, including hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, as well as precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
  • Ensures the safe operation of machinery and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, by adhering to blueprints, schematics, operational manuals, and engineering specifications.

2. Safety Protocols

  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment by following established procedures and regulations.
  • Implements Lockout/Tagout procedures as necessary.
  • Conducts Confined Space procedures when required.

3. General Responsibilities

  • This position may require travel to various company locations to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Communicates maintenance information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Engages in various welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.
  • Installs machinery and systems, ensuring compliance with blueprints, operational manuals, and engineering specifications.

Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

  • Equipment Maintenance Knowledge – A minimum of 6 months of experience in repairing industrial processing equipment in a production setting. Relevant technical training or military experience will be considered.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding maintenance literature in English is essential.
  • Experience with hand and power tools is required.
  • Lockout/Tagout experience is preferred.
  • Prior welding experience, including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing is necessary.
