About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Sushi Cook to join our dynamic team in the Flatiron District. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute recipes and maintain food quality standards in accordance with company guidelines.
- Participate in daily service, including shift line-ups, new menu roll-outs, and evolving service and food standards.
- Demonstrate expertise in Omakase-style dining and sushi preparation techniques.
- Report to each shift on time, prepared to work, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment, adhering to company standards.
- Participate in inventory management, including quality inspection of plateware and reporting any broken items.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a professional atmosphere and provide exceptional customer service.
- Proficient in generally accepted sushi techniques and company standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, benefits, and paid time off after 60 days of employment. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from qualified candidates.
