About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Professional to join our team at Southern Air. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and public buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our team to learn and perform tasks assigned by the plumbing superintendent and lead plumber.
  • Utilize knowledge of plumbing practices, health and safety regulations, and materials to operate and repair plumbing systems.
  • Operate specialized machinery, equipment, and tools to repair, install, and maintain plumbing systems.
  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Install other plumbing equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, appliances, and trim.
  • Determine the functionality of water supply networks and waste drainage systems.
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience as a plumbing apprentice in commercial or residential installation, or an equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
  • Journeyman or Master Plumbers License preferred.
  • Overtime may be necessary, and you must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

May work with or around typical construction materials and chemicals requiring safety data sheet knowledge.
