POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Internal Auditor plays a crucial role in executing routine and ad hoc internal audits while monitoring control measures. The internal audit department engages in a variety of projects encompassing financial, operational, compliance, information technology, and controls-based audits.
In this role, you will further develop the skills acquired in public accounting or internal audit within the industry, paving the way for career advancement in internal audit or potential opportunities in other areas of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize knowledge and expertise to conduct a range of finance, operational, and compliance audits under the guidance of audit management.
- Effectively manage time and take ownership of assignments to ensure that fieldwork is carried out as planned, adhering to established timelines and quality standards.
- Document, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of internal controls to guarantee the reliability of financial reporting.
- Communicate audit requests and potential findings clearly to business owners and audit team management.
- Prepare comprehensive and concise reports on audit results and findings.
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with internal stakeholders (hospital management, corporate leadership) and external parties (external auditors, consultants).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA License preferred
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting and/or internal audit within the industry
- Experience in healthcare is strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Contribute to engagement planning and ensure deliverables address risk factors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical approach to problem-solving
- Foster a positive team environment and collaborative work culture
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
