Job Summary
Oversee security initiatives aimed at safeguarding personnel, facilities, and sensitive information. Supervise a dedicated team and collaborate with research administration, professional staff, and government entities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce security protocols
- Conduct investigations into incidents, theft, or unlawful activities
- Lead a team responsible for monitoring organizational premises
- Ensure adherence to security regulations
- Manage employee security clearance processes
- Facilitate security training sessions for staff
- Engage in audits and compliance checks
- Supervise the handling of classified materials, including storage and disposal
Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree, or equivalent
Required Experience: A minimum of ten years in a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Industrial Security Professional (ISP)
- Prior experience as a Facility Security Officer or Contractor Program Security Officer
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail with proven decision-making and leadership capabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of security protocols and systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
