Role Overview

The Institute for Women's Policy Research seeks a Chief Financial and Operating Officer to lead our financial and operational teams. This critical role will provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure the organization's continued success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial advice and guidance to the President and CEO;
  • Develop and implement organizational systems and processes to maximize efficiency and support future growth;
  • Support the implementation of IWPR's strategic plan, focusing on financial planning and sustainability;
  • Model best practices, habits, and behaviors for IWPR staff;
  • Identify and assess emerging operations gaps and develop strategies to address them;
  • Build a culture that attracts and retains top talent;
  • Serve as an advisor to IWPR Leadership and senior staff.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in business, accounting, or nonprofit management;
  • Senior management experience in finance, operations, administration, human resources, and IT;
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership skills, including problem-solving, managerial, and conflict-resolution abilities;
  • Strong existing networks and leader in the field;
  • Proven track record of effective staff management and conflict resolution;
  • Personal and professional integrity, unwavering commitment to equity, and a growth mindset;
  • Effective, versatile, and action-oriented leadership style;
  • $187,525 - $224,830 salary range, based on education and experience.

This role is located in Washington, DC, and offers a competitive salary range of $187,525 - $224,830, based on education and experience.
