Job Overview

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the preparation and serving of food and beverages across different dining settings. Your role includes preparing fresh salads, hot meals, and baked goods, as well as assisting in the service of food to patients and other guests in our dining facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engage in both retail and patient service environments.
2. Assemble and deliver meal trays to patients, restock workstations, and manage soiled dishes by washing and sanitizing utensils.
3. Communicate with patients to take meal orders and ensure timely delivery of trays.
4. Oversee food quality and safety by monitoring food lines and testing trays for appropriate temperature.
5. Report any safety concerns to department leadership regarding the kitchen or dining areas.
6. Restock items for patient use on the tray line.
7. Maintain cleanliness by removing waste from the kitchen area.
8. Uphold the high standards of Atlantic Health System by ensuring appealing food presentation and preparation.
9. Carry out additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in food service or related fields.

Preferred:
1. At least one year of experience in food service or customer service is preferred.
