Behavioral Crisis Center Technician

This role is responsible for providing general direction and support to clients in a behavioral crisis center setting. The successful candidate will implement guidelines, procedures, and program rules accurately and consistently, while also providing supervision and guidance to clients during mealtime and other activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and support to clients in maintaining their living and sleeping areas in a neat and sanitary manner.
- Encourage individuals to develop positive relationships within the program, with both staff and other clients.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for admissions, transfers, and/or discharge.
- Responsible for documenting treatment plan interventions, participating in daily activities, and developing and writing treatment plans.
- Monitor and/or facilitate group activities as designated by supervisor, engaging with clients during group activities, and providing intervention as needed for clients to obtain maximum benefit from participation.
- Responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness by completing designated facility tasks.
- Observe, record, and communicate clients' behaviors, strengths, progress, areas of difficulty, and needs in a timely manner, utilizing established mechanisms and program formats.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Preferred but not required: Experience and/or degree in Human Services field (Case Management, Social Work, Crisis Support, Substance Abuse Counselor, etc)
