Position Overview

The Medical Equipment Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of biomedical devices used in healthcare settings. This position involves diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, performing maintenance, and adhering to strict compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and Repair: Diagnose customer biomedical equipment problems, execute necessary repairs, and conduct scheduled maintenance and safety inspections to facilitate effective healthcare delivery.
  • Compliance Adherence: Follow company policies, procedures, and healthcare protocols to meet regulatory and compliance standards; ensure thorough documentation of all tasks performed.
  • Customer Relations: Foster strong relationships and maintain regular communication with clients to ensure timely resolution of issues and ongoing satisfaction.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Care for tools and testing equipment to guarantee accurate calibration and the ability to provide prompt repairs and maintenance.
  • Quality Reporting: Identify and promptly report any quality or compliance issues to the Quality Organization to uphold the highest ethical service standards.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, military training, or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in medical equipment service.
  • At least 2 years of experience in servicing medical devices.
  • Proficiency in electronic digital circuitry and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret schematic diagrams effectively.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a hospital environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Background in electronics.
  • Certification in Biomedical Equipment Technology.
