Job Summary

Under direct supervision, the incumbent performs skilled work including incoming inspections, scheduled maintenance, repair, safety testing, and recording of functional test data for a diverse range of clinical equipment.

The incumbent will provide technical assistance to Biomedical Equipment Technicians II and III, and support the installation, maintenance, and repair of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation.

The ideal candidate will have a background in electronics, maintenance skills in electronics, mechanical, or electromechanical device repair, and the ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral communications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspections, scheduled maintenance, repair, safety testing, and recording of functional test data for clinical equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance to Biomedical Equipment Technicians II and III.
  • Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation.
  • Work in a sterile environment if necessary.
  • Keep accurate records.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Background in electronics.
  • Maintenance skills in electronics, mechanical, or electromechanical device repair.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral communications.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, clinical and medical staff, and the general public.
