JOB DESCRIPTION:


As a vital member of the Risk Management division, the Credit Control Project Management & Reporting (CCPMR) team plays a crucial role in supporting the Credit Control team by spearheading projects, managing daily reports, and addressing ad-hoc challenges.


The CCPMR team enables the Credit Control team to concentrate on its primary responsibility of conducting credit evaluations on a portfolio of member firms and other counterparties.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Surveillance and Reporting: Oversee the generation and assessment of daily surveillance communications and ensure workflows are tracked to completion (including negative news and vendor risk management).
  • Data Collection: Assist in gathering and reporting on Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Risk Tolerance metrics pertinent to the credit function.
  • Financial Monitoring: Manage the receipt of financial statements, including sending reminders for upcoming deadlines or late submissions, archiving financials, and facilitating any necessary fines, waivers, or extensions.
  • Regulatory Review: Examine regulatory reports for changes in organizational structure and notifications.
  • Negative News Analysis: Analyze various external systems/tools for the aggregation of negative news alerts.
  • Data Aggregation: Compile data for internal and external reporting, particularly for audit inquiries.
  • Risk Technology Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for Credit Control with Application Development, Business Analysts, and Project Management regarding credit deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the credit team to comprehend and prioritize deliverables, ensuring they align with the needs of the Credit Control team and meet any audit or regulatory standards.
  • Financial Metrics Analysis: Analyze financial metrics and external vendor feeds to develop internal monitoring processes.
  • Risk and Control Integration: Incorporate risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risks, escalating issues as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis for various financial institutions, particularly banks and broker-dealers.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel and VBA macro programming. Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is advantageous.
  • Fundamental skills in credit analysis.
  • Understanding of regulatory rules and regulations.
  • Experience with new technological initiatives and defining business requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
