JOB DESCRIPTION:


As a vital member of the Risk Management division, the Credit Control Project Management & Reporting (CCPMR) team plays a crucial role in supporting the Credit Control team by leading various projects, managing daily reports, and addressing ad-hoc challenges.


The CCPMR team enables the Credit Control team to concentrate on its primary responsibility of performing credit evaluations on a portfolio of member firms and other counterparties.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Surveillance and Reporting: Oversee the generation and review of daily surveillance communications and track workflows to completion (including negative news and vendor risk management).
  • Assist in data gathering and reporting on Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Risk Tolerance metrics pertinent to the credit function.
  • Monitor the receipt of financial statements, including sending reminders for upcoming deadlines or late submissions, archiving financials to SharePoint, and facilitating fines, waivers, or extensions for overdue financials.
  • Review regulatory reports for changes in organizational structure and notifications.
  • Analyze various external systems/tools for the aggregation of negative news alerts.
  • Compile data for internal and external reporting for audit inquiries.


Risk Technology: Serve as the primary contact for Credit Control with Application Development, Business Analysts, and Project Management regarding credit deliverables.


Collaborate with the credit team to comprehend and prioritize deliverables, ensuring they align with the needs of the Credit Control team while meeting any audit or regulatory obligations.


Evaluate financial metrics and external vendor feeds utilized to establish internal monitoring processes.


Integrate risk and control procedures into daily responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalate issues as necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis for various financial institutions, particularly banks and broker-dealers.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel applications and VBA macro programming. Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI is advantageous.
  • Fundamental skills in credit analysis.
  • Understanding of regulatory rules and regulations.
  • Experience in collaborating with new technological initiatives and defining business requirements.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
