Role Summary

The Team Leader will oversee, coordinate, and implement the planning, organization, training, and leadership necessary to meet established objectives for sales, cost management, employee recruitment, training, retention, guest satisfaction, product excellence, and cleanliness. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with all operational standards of a Chicken Salad Chick location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a vital support to the General Manager, representing the Chicken Salad Chick brand.
  • Comprehend and adhere to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
  • Guarantee that every guest feels welcomed and receives responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Ensure that all menu items are consistently prepared and served according to Chicken Salad Chick standards.
  • Achieve set goals for sales, service, quality, facility appearance, and sanitation through employee training and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Manage cash and other receipts by following cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Make hiring and termination decisions in line with General Manager guidelines.
  • Fill in operationally where necessary to uphold guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Continuously work on developing staff in all areas of managerial and professional growth.
  • Complete all required documentation, forms, and reports in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in a clean and excellent working condition through personal inspections and adherence to preventative maintenance programs.
  • Oversee the receipt of products to ensure correct unit counts and conditions, following the restaurant's receiving policies.
  • Ensure timely completion of employee performance evaluations.
  • Schedule labor based on anticipated business activity to provide optimal guest service, product quality, and operational standards while maintaining labor cost control goals.
  • Always comply with Brand Standards regarding uniform appearance and personal grooming.

Qualifications

  • Ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Completion of the in-store training program is required.
  • Flexibility to work a full-time schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
