Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel job in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing radioactive drugs, administering them to patients, and monitoring for unusual drug reactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
  • Maintain equipment, examine machines for proper functioning, and sterilize rooms
  • Prepare radioactive drugs and administer to patients
  • Monitor patients for unusual drug reactions
  • Operate equipment to create images of organs or areas of the body
  • Maintain patient records and add medical notes
  • Follow hospital safety rules and procedures

Requirements:

  • One to three years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Certifications: BLS, ARRT or NMTCB, State License if applicable
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel
  • Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, and moving about when assisting with procedures
  • Mental Requirements: Ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure
