Job Summary

As an Optician at Sam's Club, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our members. You will be the face of our optical department, assisting members with their eyewear needs, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up displays, and organizing product displays.
  • Operate hardware such as cash registers and related equipment, process member purchases, and assist with payments, returns, and exchanges.
  • Sell optical products and services by assisting members with purchasing decisions, measuring, adjusting, and repairing frames and lenses.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong customer service focus, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Preferred qualifications include experience in the optical industry, knowledge of eyewear and contact lenses, and proficiency in cash handling and operating point-of-sale systems.
