Position Overview:

The Kitchen Support Staff plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our culinary services. This position involves various tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist chefs and catering personnel with meal preparation, including handling meat, dairy, and vegetables.
  • Clear and clean tables after meals.
  • Wash pots, dishes, and other kitchen items as required.
  • Dispose of waste in the dining room, kitchen, and dishwashing areas.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout all kitchen and dining spaces.
  • Organize and store deliveries appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and mopping dining and serving areas.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is mandatory.
  • Possession of a NYC Food Handler Certification is preferred. Familiarity with Kosher dietary regulations is also advantageous.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong organizational abilities, with a commitment to adhering to established sanitary practices.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills, demonstrating respect and thoughtfulness towards clients and colleagues.
  • Dedication to providing outstanding customer service.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22 to $22.
