Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to CSSOs and CSSRs, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Security Support: Assist and advise on all aspects of security support, working in coordination with an integrated military staff.
- Policy Development: Develop and assist in the development of policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Security Education and Training: Conduct security education and training for agency/organization personnel.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot routine personnel security, physical security, and information security issues.
- Clearance Processing: Utilize the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Joint Clearance and Access Verification System (JCAVS) to process and support the processing of personnel security investigations for eligibility/access to classified information.
- SCIF Management: Assist SSO in the management of the physical security aspects of the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) lifecycle.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret/Secret Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
- Experience: Minimum twelve (12) years of related experience, with at least a portion of the experience within the last two (2) years.
- Security Standards: At least seven (7) years of experience applying security standards that apply to SCI Facilities (SCIFs).
- Security Policy Development: Experience developing and interpreting security policy for Senior Level Government and Industry personnel.
- Security Clearance Processes: Thorough familiarity with all security clearance processes.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Experience reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings to ensure facilities meet security requirements.
- JPAS/JCAVS Experience: Four (4) years of experience utilizing Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Joint Clearance and Access Verification System (JCAVS).
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related area from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Deployment Experience: Deployment operational experience OCONUS and preferred Security Fundamentals Professional Certification.
- Security Coursework: Completed Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 Physical Security course (or equivalent) and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) SSO course (or equivalent).
