Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Leader to join our team at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of researchers and scientists in the development and implementation of cutting-edge research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor a team of researchers and scientists to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement research strategies and plans to advance the field of analytical chemistry.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement organizational strategies and policies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to staff members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to ensure effective project execution.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in research and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and achieving project goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a laboratory setting with hazardous materials and equipment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo training and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Additional Information

This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and requires the ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a federal security clearance.
