Job Summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Logistician to support our federal customer in Severn, MD. Our team is responsible for managing the receipt, transfer, and current location of all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account for all GFE equipment and material
  • Maintain complete and accurate property accounting records
  • Coordinate marking with Government property accounting personnel
  • Perform duties relating to engineering and logistics, including property accountability, material control, and procurement
  • Research source identification and alternate suppliers for replacement parts
  • Contact vendors and suppliers for information relating to parts replacement
  • Procure parts as necessary to meet tasking requirements
  • Maintain requisition information for all parts, material, and equipment
  • Establish delivery and expedition schedule
  • Maintain close follow-up on requisitioned items to ensure meeting due dates
  • Maintain historical information concerning trends for late deliveries
  • Classify, rate, route, trace, select carriers and transportation modes, and expedite inbound and outbound shipments
  • Arrange for transportation and handling of special or unusual items
  • Initiate and follow-up on claims for shipping damage
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in ordering, receiving, and inventorying parts components, supplies, and equipment
  • Experience using material control procedures on Government contracts
