Logistics Material Specialist

Your Contribution:

Engage in a range of logistical responsibilities, which encompass: receiving, invoicing, and storing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) along with vendor-supplied materials and components; preparing necessary shipping documentation; adhering to established shipping protocols; overseeing the Government parts recycling initiative; organizing and optimizing warehouse storage solutions; and employing a computerized inventory management system.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in the logistics sector.
  • Must possess and maintain a forklift operator's certification.

Desirable Skills:

  • Responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing engineering supplies and materials. Automatically initiates restocking requests when inventory levels fall below set thresholds. Maintains historical records for part usage.
  • Updates procurement documentation for materials acquired and vendor sources.
  • Operates a forklift and various other material handling equipment.
  • Handles packing of sensitive electronic items for shipment.
  • Performs additional related tasks as required.
  • Manages inventory database, updating information related to materials on hand. Generates reports on stock levels, inventory status, historical usage, and shipping details.
  • Proficient in utilizing database applications for inventory oversight.
  • Capable of climbing stock ladders and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
