Job Summary

The Pediatric Nurse will work as a member of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive care to patients and families with complex healthcare needs. This position aims to deliver high-quality patient-centered care that is safe, effective, timely, efficient, and equitable.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Greens Clinic in North Houston. As a Staff Nurse (RN), you will support 5-7 rotating Pediatric providers and supervise clinical operations on the Pediatrics Unit.

Responsibilities:

* Perform responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction.
* Adhere to the broad scope of practice as established by the Nurse Practice Act.
* Ensure the efficient operation of the clinic or unit by proper scheduling and planning for optimum use of staff and resources, maintenance of stock and supplies, and efficient and safe use of equipment.
* Use a systematic approach to provide nursing care to patients and families/populations by performing both focused and comprehensive assessments through subjective and evidence-based objective data.
* Prioritize, synthesize, and document assessments and nursing plans of care using critical thinking and judgment.
* Implement plans of care within the scope of practice through assignment and monitoring of other nurses and delegation and monitoring of unlicensed staff.
* Develop and implement teaching plans for patients concerning maintenance, promotion, and restoration of health.
* Evaluate patients' responses and outcomes to education and therapeutic interventions. Communicate effectively with the collaborative team while escalating critical results and issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
* Exercise judgment while coordinating care and referring patients to agencies or healthcare professionals for other services/transitions in care where indicated.
* Perform on-site and telephone triage using best practice guidelines and documentation to ensure patients receive the right level of care in the right setting at the right time by the right caregiver using the right equipment and supplies.

Certification/Skills:

* Current Registered Nurse Texas License required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified preferred

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $65,000-$90,000 per year, based on experience.
