Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Outpatient Developmental Pediatrics team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, health education, and advocacy in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

  • Collect pertinent patient data using evidence-based assessment techniques and complex interviewing instruments.
  • Develop and update individualized plans of care for patients with various health needs.
  • Prioritize interventions and implement the plan of care in partnership with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct reevaluations and follow-ups to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
  • Incorporate family members' and caregivers' understanding and participation in the plan of care.
  • Use ongoing reassessment data to revise diagnoses, expected outcomes, and implementation of the plan as needed.
  • Demonstrate patient advocacy by responding to care issues and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate's Degree with acceptance into a BSN program and signed agreement.
  • Verified BSN-equivalency or signed agreement required.
  • Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • At least 1 year of professional nursing experience preferred.
