Service Department Manager
The Service Department Manager is responsible for optimizing service processes to ensure customer satisfaction. This position grows profitable service labor sales and exercises discipline expense control.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and communicating effective service processes
- Assisting in creating annual service department goals and budgets
- Developing and executing service department marketing plans
- Scheduling and assigning jobs to employees
- Reviewing work orders for completeness and accuracy
- Submitting warranty and product improvement claims
- Ensuring safety policies and practices are followed
- Managing department recruiting, staffing, and employee professional development activities
Requirements
- College degree in Mechanical Engineering, Management, Technical, or related field
- ~3+ years of experience managing a service department or similar position
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications
